I am laura rattaro and i am a creative designer
My work expresses who I am and where I come from.
My work expresses who I am and where I come from. I love creativity, imagination and the ability to reason in an unconventional and out-of-the-box manner. Indeed, I studied design specifically to convey this great passion.
But I am also the daughter of an optometrist who managed to make his mark with innovative methods in Genoa. I myself studied as an optician, learning to appreciate the technique and rigour of science.
This gave rise to my profession as an eyewear designer on a path of continuous discovery and in-depth study of sometimes very diverse subject matters.

We are made of connections
In my life and even more so in this period, relationships are what make my world invaluable. I love sharing experiences and goals with people. I love learning from those who can bring new life to my work and my thirst for knowledge. I love being curious, exploring new avenues and experimenting. I am free.
With a pinch of self-irony, which is always needed in life, I have created this space to dialogue with those who want to build interesting and creative working relationships with me.
When the brain matters
It all started when I applied to a German company at a very young age.
Without any experience, my CV was rather meagre. So, armed with ingenuity and healthy recklessness, I decided to send an impactful presentation, to which I also attached a CT scan of my brain. It was proof that it was the only thing that should have mattered at that moment (let’s laugh about it… ).
This decision allowed me to fly to Düsseldorf with a paid plane ticket and start my career as an eyewear designer in Germany.
In search of new projects
Maybe it is my past as a sporty person that has taught me to be competitive, maybe it is my resourceful character that has never stopped me in the face of adversity. Certainly these characteristics of mine have taught me to make my way in this industry and to work with a variety of businesses, always as a freelancer, in Germany, France and Italy. Now I want to have some fun and put all my knowledge as a designer to use, to create great projects with great companies.
