There is a special focus in my working method on visual comfort and the relationship between form and colour – an essential triad for me.

Eyewear must fascinate and impress with its style. It must adapt to a certain type of face and accentuate it. It must convey the values of a brand and create a connection with people.

At the same time, it must be respectful of the person and take into account ergonomics and the perfect weight balance.

I apply this knowledge to all production techniques and to all materials, from metals to plastics. That is why I can design eyeglasses and sunglasses for all sectors.

Colour specialist 

Studying colour is my greatest passion. My work as a colour specialist for the eyewear industry is extremely technical: it does not start with emotions, but it reaches them through study.

In fact, colours are like words: they have their own grammar and metrics that require study and experience to create compositions that touch the heart.

Developing the colours of a collection for me means creating a specific language for the brand. It leads me to look into the current aesthetic and cultural trends, to create a relationship between colour and form, to study well the message I want to communicate.

When I succeed in creating the language of the specific collection, everything appears harmonious, coherent, it is meaningful, and there is room for expression.

Trend study 

A trend study is a consultancy that follows two paths:

  • it can be part of a complete collection creation project;
  • it can be a separately requested service.

It is divided into two phases: research and analysis. It is not market research that requires tools and a marketing team, but an in-depth study of the market from a visual point of view.

In the first phase of style research, I work on a broad scale to firstly ascertain general trends in fashion, art, architecture, and furniture, and then I dive into the eyewear sector to grasp the nuances of current events.
Then the second phase begins in which I observe competitors and new styles to understand the direction the eyewear sector is heading.
From then on I can focus on creative direction that will allow me to make choices based on objective data.

Creative direction 

When your company or start-up lacks an in-house creative director, I fulfill this role as an external resource.

My job is to help you structure the project vision and coordinate the professionals who work together to make the eyewear. Before taking any step, it is necessary to know where you started from and where you want to reach.

Creative direction lays the foundations for defining the strategy of the new collection, structuring the language between form and colour, identifying the key points that will make each model consistent with the others. That’s when your collection starts to have a soul.

As creative director, I am in charge of dialoguing with the corporate figures involved and using their specific language. I will manage your team and coordinate the people who have to carry your project forward over time.
